Senior Project Manager
INTRODUCTION
Old Mutual is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a large, high-priority project that is moving at pace. The successful candidate will come onboard immediately and take responsibility for coordinating deliverables across 12 key workstreams through the planned Q2 2027 launch and the subsequent delivery period to approximately July 2027.
This role will suit a senior delivery professional who is comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced environment, bringing structure across multiple interdependent workstreams and maintaining clear alignment between stakeholders, plans, risks and key milestones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate plans, dependencies and deliverables across 12 key workstreams
- Develop and maintain an integrated project plan aligned to the targeted Q2 2027 launch
- Drive delivery momentum, track milestones and ensure workstream owners remain aligned and accountable
- Identify and manage cross-workstream risks, issues, dependencies and delivery constraints
- Establish clear governance, reporting and escalation mechanisms for project stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Facilitate effective collaboration and decision-making across business, project and specialist teams
- Monitor progress against agreed scope, timelines and priorities, escalating concerns where required
- Support launch readiness and coordinate activities through to the anticipated project completion period around July 2027
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Significant experience delivering complex, large-scale projects or programmes at Senior Project Manager level
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple concurrent workstreams and managing interdependencies
- Strong integrated planning, governance, reporting, risk and issue management capability
- Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders, facilitate decisions and drive accountability across delivery teams
- Experience working in high-pressure environments with fixed launch dates and evolving priorities
- Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving and coordination skills
- Relevant project or programme management certification would be advantageous
