Junior IT Business Analyst
ROLE PURPOSE
The Junior IT Business Analyst supports the IT department by documenting business processes, strengthening IT governance practices, and facilitating alignment between business needs and IT solutions. The role ensures that IT policies, procedures, and workflows are accurately captured, updated, and communicated to promote consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or similar; OR
- Diploma in IT / Business Analysis / Administration
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years’ experience in IT Business Analysis, Administration, or Support
- Experience working in IT environments
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Understanding of IT governance concepts, IT policies, and basic IT operational procedures
- Exposure to process mapping, workflow documentation, or requirements gathering is advantageous

- Ability to interpret and document technical and business information
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Basic understanding of IT systems, software, and infrastructure
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Documentation
- Document existing IT and operational processes across the organisation
- Develop clear, standardised process maps, workflows, SOPs, and guidelines
- Work with IT team members and business stakeholders to validate processes
- Maintain version control and change logs for all process documentation
- Identify inefficiencies and flag areas for potential improvement
- IT Governance Support
- Assist with the creation, updating, and communication of IT policies and governance documentation
- Coordinate activities relating to compliance with internal IT controls
- Support the implementation and monitoring of IT governance frameworks (e.g., system access control, asset management, data handling)
- Assist with audit preparation by providing documentation where required
- Business Analysis Activities
- Gather basic business and technical requirements from stakeholders
- Assist in translating business needs into IT requirements or simple solution specifications
- Support IT projects through administrative coordination, documentation, and tracking
- Help ensure business requirements align with IT capabilities and governance standards
- Administrative and Operational IT Support
- Assist with general IT administration as needed, drawing from the IT Administrator role
- Support stock and asset management processes (documentation, tracking, verification)
- Maintain central repositories for IT documents, policies, and procedures
